I don't see the big fucking deal. The kid did a decent job during what had to of been a non-push time.
Said the pilots were upset. I don't hear that at all. |

| typical bullshit, problematic, bitchy, whiney people making a stink over a little bit of fun. I don't see the big deal with saying "contact departure." I think one of the 5 calls was actual "directing traffic" in terms of takeoff. Our society is just so damn stuck on who done wrong. Undo the panties that are in a bunch... or as amazingrando would say, sand in vaginas |

Fer real man, the public has no idea how little this effects actual safety. If the the real controller stepped away from the spot to take a leak and left his kind in charge, that's one thing. Having a cute kid tell me to contact departure would totally make me smile (and not bitch about it).
But the problem is public perception/ignorance. They just don't know how it works, so the controller's gonna get fired and the sup is going to get a hot iron up his dirty star so the FAA can say they were on top of it. It doesn't help that it was at JFK. Golden Triangle, MS or Essex, MD maybe would have gotten away with this...
