| The posting was an error for line pilot positions. A newly corrected posting is out now. |

| Ok, so call me a jackass (highly likely) if I am reading this wrong. Is this posting for the general public or specifically for AirNet employees? If it is for the public than I think discussion in another board is warranted. Damn |

Even if its not for the gen pub, its complete BS! Those of us wishing for an upgrade or getting back in the lear just got smacked in the face.
Option A: Apply within for a part time gig with daily pay rates and most likely 24/7 on call with no benefits. Or.....
Option B: Watch someone off the street whos desperate for a job come in and swipe the upgrade right out of our hands.
I dont see how it matters who this posting is for, its just Airnets poor attempt to build revenue without any consideration for the pilot group! |

Yeah this is total bullshit. If the airplane is on Airnets certificate it should be Airnet fucking pilots that fly them. It says in the job posting that you even have to have your own uniform! What a load. Fuck this company _________________ NEVER TAKE WHAT I SAY SERIOUSLY EVER. APPARENTLY TOO MANY PEOPLE GET SAND IN THEIR VAGINAS WHEN I POST. |

O absolutely right! But I was reading into it as them going to the street looking for somebody. Its a shame somehting like this would even be posted since we have how many guys in a prop right now that have a few thousand jet hours as PIC/SIC. Sorry for the confusion. I just oculdn't see past the fact they would go to the streets with the number of qualified pilots we have. |

Fucking demoralizing. Makes me wonder why I go above and beyond for a company that clearly doesn't give 2 shits about me.

| was told by someone who looked into it that if we want the position we have to forfeit our seniority number, so when they arent making money and you get furloughed you cant fall back into a line position |

and adding to that... It would be a contract position with no medical benefits. It was explained to me by someone in the flt. dept. that it is a separate entity from the "Line." It was an opportunity for us to put our GOM/OPSPECS in another aircraft at no cost and in return make a little bit of money. Exactly why a job was posted I don't know, but i'm just relaying what i was told. |

According to Schaner's post on Teamworks you keep/get a seniority number but you dont have the right to bid into any other spot and you have to have already been in the jet at some point.
8.4 PART-TIME PASSENGER CHARTER PILOT POSITIONS (effective 03/04/10)
AirNet has entered into an agreement to manage aircraft, in passenger operations on our
certificate for the owner. This agreement calls for AirNet staffing the initiative with part-time,
properly qualified* pilots who are paid a daily rate when they fly trips. Due to the start-up
nature of the venture, the only benefits provided are recurrent training and daily pay. The
following details apply to these positions:
Pilots are paid a daily rate for trips flown;
Pilots are required to commit to a minimum of six months service at the
completion of each simulator training event;
Pilots receive a unit of per diem each day they are on duty;
Pilots are expected to have maximum schedule flexibility to cover flights;
Aircraft based at KMFD, but may be left overnight out of base frequently;
All policies in the AirNet Policy Guidance that do not apply to these positions are
denoted with the phrase – “does not apply to the part-time passenger charter
pilots or charter pilot positions;
Pilots are responsible to provide a smart phone capable of sending and receiving
e-mail; and Pilots are responsible for purchasing their own uniforms.
These positions are not filled through the normal bid system. Rather, they are made available
to the AirNet pilot group through an application process. Pilots hired into these positions
retain/receive a seniority number, but have no bidding rights into other positions within the
organization.
* Properly qualified means that they hold appropriate type rating, if required; that they are currently or have been
qualified to the seat position under FAR 135 for which they are applying; and they meet the minimum hours
required under our insurance coverage. Additionally all PIC candidates must have a minimum of 100 hours of
FAR 135 assigned PIC time in the aircraft."
This is a quick grab at making some money without caring what the pilots think about someone off the street grabbing a Lear spot regardless of seniority, even if it flies on our certificate. _________________ Holla at Cha Boy! |
